Antonio Banderas

Antonio Banderas, a well known actor and singer, was born on August 10, 1960. His full, given name is Jose Antonio Dominguez Banderas.

Banderas was born in the southern part of Spain. His mother was a school teacher and his father was a policeman. At a young age, Antonio left home for Madrid in order to pursue a career in movies.

Banderas is a popular figure for English as well as Spanish speakers. He has hosted Saturday Night Live as well as receiving the Lifetime Achievement Award from the L.A. Latino International Film Festival.

Antonio Banderas is married to Melanie Griffith. They have a daughter named Stella. All three of them were involved in the 1999 movie Crazy in Alabama which starred Melanie Griffith and was directed by Antonio.
